Bio:

ALICE CULLEN
~Pixie Seer~
Character Information
Name: Mary Alice Brandon (Goes by Alice Cullen)
Age/DOB: Exact age and birthday, she doesn't remember. She was born somewhere around 1901.
Affiliation: Vampire (Vegetarian)
PB: Nora Zehetner
Journal Name: [info]aliceknows
Height: 4'11"
Abilities: Enhanced speed, reflexes, grace, physical appearance, and senses. Alice also has the ability to see the future, but she is not without limitations. She can only see the outcome of a future once a decision has been made, and if a changed mind effects what she saw, she will see something different. She can also not see futures involving the shapeshifters, like Jacob, or her vampire/human hybrid "niece", Renesmee.

Appearance:
Like all vampires, Alice is inhumanely lovely with pale, perfect skin and dark circles beneath her eyes. Her eyes are usually a mellow gold - darkening when she's too hungry. She is tiny and thin, standing under five feet, and built delicate. With her short, spiky black hair and innate grace, she has a pixie-like appearance, almost appearing to be dancing, when she moves. She loves clothes and shiny, fast things and is usually fashionably dressed - though Alice isn't the type who is a slave to trends. She wears what she likes, and it sets a trend, instead.

Personality:
Alice is perky, bubbly, friendly - to most - and has an absolutely indomitable will. Anyone who dismisses her as a cute airhead is sadly mistaken, as Alice is perfectly capable of being ruthless - if needed to protect her family, and her mate Jasper. She loves fast things, shiny things, pretty things. She's very much a girl, but she's also capable of great practicality. If something needs doing, then Alice will do it, whether or not it's a pleasant task, usually.

She's loyal and loving to her adopted family, and highly dependent on and protective of her mate, Jasper, who has a more difficult time fitting in to the human world than Alice does. She can be maddening, since Alice almost always knows more than most other people, and isn't at all shy about speaking up about it, or above being smug when she's right.

She can hold a grudge, though, and everyone knows that if you make a bet with Alice, it's better to follow through and pay up, since she never forgets or lets things go.

Alice is adaptable, and can make herself happy wherever she goes, so long as she's with her family and Jasper - but she is, at heart, a city creature. Despite the temptation they offer, she LIKES people, and likes being close to endless shopping opportunities.

History:
Alice was born human in Biloxi, Mississippi, but has few memories of her human life. Her family took her visions as a sign of insanity and had her sent to an asylum, where she spent all of her time in the dark, and was eventually turned by a vampire who worked there. She found her own grave eventually, and found that it matched her date of admission, implying she'd been dead to her family already then.

She Saw Jasper finding her in a vision, long before the other vampire ever did, eventually finally meeting him in a diner, where she informed him she'd been waiting for him for a long time. She offered him her hand, and he took it, and the two traveled together for some time, eventually falling in love. Eventually, she took Jasper to join up with Carlisle and the Cullens, whom she'd seen them joining. The two became part of the family, Alice finding it much easier to adjust to the lifestyle than Jasper did, though Alice helped him as much as she could, as did the rest of the family.

When Edward, the family's sole bachelor, fell for Bella Swan, Alice knew early on that there was a strong chance Bella would eventually join their family - nearly hurrying the process along herself by turning the girl a few times. During all of the chaos that surrounded Bella's eventual turning, Alice was a staunch - if sometimes exasperated - friend to the young girl, whom she'd already started to think of as a sister.

When Bella and Edward finally married, and Bella came back pregnant, Alice found herself frustrated - not only by the holes in her visions surrounding Bella's shapeshifter friends, but also by the unborn baby itself, whom she couldn't ever quite See.

When Renesemee was finally born, and Alice had a vision of the Volturi attacking, she took Jasper and left - seemingly abandoning her family at the most dire of times. While she might have done so, if she had to, to protect Jasper and keep their gifts from Volturi hands - in truth she went hunting for a way to save Bella and Edward's baby, and the rest of the family. Eventually she found the proof that she needed, bringing back another living vampire/human hybrid - proof that Renesemee wasn't a threat. The Volturi were forced to leave her be, and the Cullens and their friends were left unmolested, for the time being.

The Cullens returned to Alaska, with Jacob Black, to let Renesmee grow up and to be with the Denali sisters as they grieved for the sister they'd lost in the showdown with the Volturi. Alice is content enough there, but she misses the bustle of being close to a fairly big city, and their home in Forks.
